Meet sweet Selena, whose medical journey was sponsored by our Hansel Help grant to Angel City Pit Bulls.
Here’s what the amazing ACPB team shared with us:
“Selena arrived at the North shelter with an injured hind leg. ACPB scooped her up and got her into a foster home to rest, before she was assessed by a veterinarian, who said her fracture would require pins to heal properly.
Selena had her surgery, in which 2 pins were placed, and she was put on strict crate rest for 6-8 weeks. Her fosters took great care to keep her calm and entertained while she healed.
At a checkup, one of Selena’s pins was beginning to come out, so it was surgically removed. A month later, her other pin was removed. She had 2 more weeks of crate rest, and is finally allowed to explore her active side!” 🥹
This sweetie is now in a foster-to-adopt home!
