Meet gorgeous girl California girl Roxy, whose medical journey was sponsored by our Hansel Help grant to Angel City Pit Bulls.
Here’s what the amazing ACPB team shared with us:
“Roxy arrived to ACPB in May with her eight 7-week old puppies (the Down Under litter). They were old enough to be separated, so Roxy went off happily to foster to recuperate from motherhood, and recover from giardia and coccidia (2 infections common in dogs arriving from shelters/off the streets).
When Roxy had her spay surgery, it was noted that one of her mammary glands had an abscess, and had in fact,
ruptured. She needed a full mastectomy, which gave her quite the impressive scar! She returned to foster
to heal, but shortly after, required revision surgery, as organs had herniated! She then once again returned to a foster home to heal and they all decided to make it permanent! One month after joining ACPB, Roxy found her adoptive home.” 🥳
This beautiful mama is now spoiled and adored with several human kiddo siblings!
