Partner Spotlight: Angel City Pit Bulls
Meet Angel City Pit Bulls, one of our awesome 2026 Hansel Help partners. Since 2010, they’ve saved almost 3,000 animals, primarily from LA Animal Services. They’re 100% volunteer-run and committed to educating folks about the wonderful companions dogs labeled “pit bulls” can be.
Our funding this year helped them cover two major, complex medical cases: Roxy and Selena, who have both found loving families after receiving the TLC they needed!

The Angel City team shares:
“Roxy arrived to ACPB in May with her eight 7-week old puppies (the Down Under litter). They were old enough to be separated, so Roxy went off happily to foster to recuperate from motherhood, and recover from giardia and coccidia (two infections common in dogs arriving from shelters/off the streets).
When Roxy had her spay surgery, it was noted that one of her mammary glands had an abscess, and had in fact, ruptured. She needed a full mastectomy, which gave her quite the impressive scar! She returned to foster to heal, but shortly after, required revision surgery, as organs had herniated! She then once again returned to a foster home to heal and they all decided to make it permanent! One month after joining ACPB, Roxy found her adoptive home.”
Reportedly still too wiggly for a non-blurry scar photo
This beautiful mama is now spoiled and adored with several human kiddo siblings!
Living her best, loved life!
Selena’s intake photo
Angel City shares:
“Selena arrived at the North shelter with an injured hind leg. ACPB scooped her up and got her into a foster home to rest, before she was assessed by a veterinarian, who said her fracture would require pins to heal properly.
Selena had her surgery, in which two pins were placed, and she was put on strict crate rest for 6–8 weeks. Her fosters took great care to keep her calm and entertained while she healed.
At a checkup, one of Selena’s pins was beginning to come out, so it was surgically removed. A month later, her other pin was removed. She had two more weeks of crate rest, and is finally allowed to explore her active side!”
This sweetie is now in a foster-to-adopt home!
Her fosters took the best care of her!
We are so happy to help these girls enter their new chapter as their best and healthiest selves! Thank you, ACPB!
