This beautiful 5-year-old girl’s story has been a long and confusing one. Three years ago, a video of her at an NYCACC adoption event went viral — a family came to the event and found her, their lost dog, and they were reunited! We don’t totally know what has happened between now and then, but she was recently back at the shelter as a stray. She was a favorite of Queens ACC volunteers, and we pledged a small donation to the rescue that saved her. We are thrilled we were able to honor that pledge to the devoted folks at NYC Second Chance Rescue!

“Mochachino was found as a stray and ended up at the ACC, where the stress of kennel life quickly began to take its toll. We knew she deserved better, so we busted her out before the shelter environment could dim her bright spirit.

Now safe in rescue, Mochachino is showing everyone what a truly special girl she is. She's sweet, beautiful, and incredibly smart, with so much potential just waiting to shine. Like many dogs adjusting to a new life, she'll thrive with a patient adopter who can provide gentle guidance, consistency, and love as she continues to build her confidence.
