Our first Hansel Help recipients of 2026 are some of our youngest and smallest! Our friends at Chicago Animal Care and Control reached out about two puppies with broken legs and told us that DeKalb-based Tails Humane Society wanted to rescue them, but needed some help with funding for medical. The amazing Rosenthal Family Foundation had already pledged $500 and asked if we could match, and we said of course! We love the opportunity to work with our friends as well as connect with more organizations in our home city of Chicago. Both puppies are now comfortable in loving foster homes, and Tails Humane was also able to pull a third, healthy puppy!
